Paving at the Town Hall is underway!: The board was able to obtain a grant with the assistance of Sourcewell to increase the paved area around the town hall. This additional allows for dedicated handicapped parking spaces and increases the area for the AirLink helicopter to land in the event of emergencies. A paved space creates a safer landing zone for the helicopter and reduces the danger to local volunteer EMS staff when the helicopter is landing and taking off. Thanks to the hard work of the board, this project has been fully funded by grants with the help of Sourcewell.
The area around the Town hall and Emergency Services building was put to use several times during the month of May. The attached photo was submitted by our volunteers. Air Link will use the paved area as a safe landing space to meet critical patients from the area for transport to hospitals in the metro area.
